Hibs are set to have a clearout in the summer. Malky Mackay has said as much.

As many as 17 Hibees players are out of contract after the current season ends and many are on the fringes and will likely move on.

Some are, or have been, key men but may still find themselves heading out the Easter Road exit door as they look for a refresh.

With the club sitting bottom of the Premiership, fans will be keen to see some signings made in January to give them some added quality.

That could mean some leaving in the winter window too and the exits of some scheduled for the summer could be expedited.

With less than two months until the window opens, here is a look at some Hibs men who could leave in January.

Hibs players who could complete January transfer exits

Luke Amos – The midfielder joined on a free transfer in January 2024 and was in and out last season. But has only appeared once in the league this season a 17-minute cameo on the opening day.

Martin Boyle – Still a regular in the side but his form has suffered. Been open about an ambition to play in adopted nation Australia one day and out of contract in the summer, so could be time to cash in. Although Hibs do have an option to extend it.

Max Boruc – Third-choice goalkeeper has looked okay in his few appearances but hasn’t played this season after a loan at Arbroath.

Rocky Bushiri – The central defender is another who has been out of the picture since the signings of Marvin Ekpiteta and Warren O’Hora. But did get 45 minutes against St Mirren at the weekend.

Jake Doyle-Hayes – Been back on the bench after injury struggles and got seven minutes against Hearts. But could move on in search of first-team football.

Nohan Kenneh – Not in the plans and will likely leave, either in the summer or in January.

Harry McKirdy – Hasn’t worked out at Hibs since the move from Swindon and the forward still hasn’t scored a goal.

Dylan Levitt – Has struggled to break into the side on a regular basis. Just four sub appearances in the league.

Nathan Moriah-Welsh – Hasn’t been in the matchday squad for the last three games.

Josh Campbell – Another midfielder who has been left out of squads despite starting the season as a regular.
