It’s getting to that time of year again.
Premiership clubs won’t just be looking at how they can strengthen in January, they will also be looking towards bolstering their squads in the summer.
Our teams can start speaking to players about potential pre-contracts when they enter the final six months of their deal. And with most contracts here running until the end of May, that can happen very soon.
Plenty of clubs, not least Hearts and Hibs, really need to strengthen in January to improve fortunes.
But that usually proves to be a tricky window to get deals over the line. Plus, pre-contracts are obviously a brilliant way to get players in without having to shell out a transfer fee.
Here, Not the Old Firm looks at the 134 Premiership players outside of the Old Firm who will be out of contract in 2025.
St Johnstone have by far the most with 21 but there are several clubs will lengthy lists, including the Hibees who have 17 out of contract.
