Dunfermline are on the lookout for yet another manager following the sacking of Michael Tidser after just 11 games in charge.

The former Kelty Hearts boss was the man identified after James McPake was binned early this year and compensation was even paid to the League One side.

Fans never really seemed to be on board with the appointment and, after three wins from 11 games, Tidser was sacked by the Championship outfit this morning.

There will be plenty of runners and riders, including some mentioned for the Dunfermline job last time out.

Here, Not the Old Firm looks at some possible contenders.

Callum Davidson

Recently out of a job after being sacked by Queen’s Park and seems to be the name on the lips of many Pars fans. Has worked at Dunfermline before as a coach.

Billy Davies

Davies is ready to get back into management, as he told Not the Old Firm in an exclusive chat. Has been out of work for a while but has the credentials after spells at Motherwell and down south.

Gary Naysmith

Naysmith won Stenhousemuir their first EVER league title in League Two last season and could be about to achieve back-to-back promotions.

Stewart Petrie

A former Pars player who has often been commended for his work at Montrose, where he has been boss for nine years.

Ian Murray

Sacked by Raith earlier this season and a move across Fife could be controversial. But would be a good opportunity for him to get back into management.

Steven Naismith

Stock is low after being sacked by Hearts and may need to rebuild himself in the Championship, like Barry Robson has done at Raith Rovers.

Kevin Thomson

The last appointment of a former Kelty Hearts manager didn’t go well but Thomson would back himself to be different. Kevin McDonald, his old assistant at Kelty, has stayed at East End Park following Tidser’s sacking…

Stuart Kettlewell

Kettlewell would potentially be seen as a bit of a coup after being highly-rated at Motherwell before quitting due to fan abuse. Fir Park chiefs didn’t want to lose him so the Championship side could definitely do worse.
