It’s a New Firm showdown this Saturday under the lights at Pittodrie as in-form Premiership sides Aberdeen and Dundee United clash.

The Dons have been tremendous under Jimmy Thelin and incredibly are still unbeaten as we approach November and can go top of the league with a win against the Arabs.

The Swede saw his side battle back to earn a brilliant point away to Celtic last weekend with second-half subs Duk and Ester Sokler making a huge contribution.

Will Thelin hand them a start as a result at the expense of Leighton Clarkson and Kevin Nisbet? Here’s Not The Old Firm’s predicted Aberdeen XI:

Dundee United predicted XI vs Aberdeen

United sit fourth in the league with 15 points and given they are just a point behind Rangers, their start to the season after promotion from the Championship must be commended.

Jim Goodwin will be boosted by the return of Kristijan Trapanovski last week as a second-half substitute against Hibs. He has recovered from a hamstring injury quicker than expected and is in line to start against Aberdeen.

Ryan Strain will return to the matchday squad but Craig Sibbald, Louis Moult and Ross Graham will be missing for the Arabs.
