Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin will be sweating over the long-term fitness of both Vicente Besuijen and Jack Milne.
The Dons are in the midst of a two-week break from action having last played against St Johnstone on December 7.
They drew that game 1-1, which stretched Aberdeen’s winless streak to five games. So Thelin and his squad will be desperate to rectify that this Saturday against Hibs.
But he’ll be without two of his players – Besuijen and Milne – due to injuries sustained in the draw with the Perth Saints.

Vicente Besuijen and Jack Milne await scan results
Besuijen has enjoyed a resurgence at Pittodrie since the arrival of Thelin in the summer. Granted, the Dutchman isn’t a starter in the side but he’s scored two important Premiership goals off the bench this season.
He only played 13 minutes against St Johnstone but couldn’t avoid an injury that could, according to the Daily Record, keep him out for the rest of the season.
The winger hurt his knee after a challenge and he required extensive treatment. He managed to carry on but has had to go for the scan.
His scan was delayed due to the swelling on his knee, but now Aberdeen are waiting on a specialist to provide the news regarding the extent of the injury.
Meanwhile, defender Jack Milne also had to go for a scan after injuring his ankle. Milne was impressive against St Johnstone at right-back as he started ahead of the rested Nicky Devlin.
It remains to be seen how bad Besuijen and Milne’s respective injuries are.
Who else is injured for Aberdeen?
Besuijen and Milne join Pape Habib Gueye and Dimitar Mitov in the treatment room at Pittodrie.
Gueye has been sidelined since September with a quad muscle tear but is expected to be available again for Aberdeen in January, according to boss Thelin.
Mitov was ruled out for six weeks after having to come off against Hearts with a serious hamstring injury. Again, if all goes well with the Bulgarian’s recovery, he is set for a January return.
