Aberdeen have shown they are not going away any time soon.
After the Dons flying 100 per cent start to the season after seven games, their current run was billed as crucial with Celtic, Rangers and fellow in-form side Dundee United all on the fixture list.
They have come through the first two of those games with flying colours, proving their mettle at Parkhead by coming back from 2-0 down to secure a draw and keep themselves level with the champions.
United were at Pittodrie on Saturday and again it was far from easy for Jimmy Thelin’s side, but they found a way to win with Peter Ambrose scoring a late winner.

Gavin Molloy insists Aberdeen can keep going
Despite all of that, there are still doubters who question whether Aberdeen can maintain their early run throughout the season.
Up next for the Dons is Rangers at home with the chance to move nine points ahead of Philippe Clement’s men and make another big statement.
Centre-back Gavin Molloy is adamant they can achieve that and insists that belief runs right throughout the team.
He said: “Recent history means there’s been a bit of a bite to it but we are just going to go into it and try to beat them like any other team.
“Why can’t we put it up to anyone on our day? And if we believe in ourselves like we have been, we can get a result against anyone.
“There are a lot of big games coming up in the next couple of months so we are just going to look at each individual one.”
Pittodrie fear factor as Aberdeen ‘building something’
Despite losing that 100 per cent record in the league overall, the Dons still hold onto a perfect start in home games.
Last time out they came from behind against a Hearts side who threatened to end it and Molloy insists they are building a fortress at their home ground.
“I think there is,” he said when asked if there was a Pittodrie fear factor. “People are seeing we are winning week in, week out, so why wouldn’t we build a fortress here?
“We make it very hard for any team to come here and get results. We really felt that on Saturday, especially when we scored and when we got the penalty – even though it was disallowed. We’re really building something here.
“We’re full of belief right now and see ourselves as one of the big teams. It’s about hard work and the belief you can beat anyone.
“There’s no reason to show up to a game and not think you’re going to win.”
