Kilmarnock’s Arsenal loanee Zech Medley is a transfer target for Belgian club KV Oostende ahead of next season (Daily Record).

Medley swapped Arsenal for Kilmarnock in January and he has played 10 times, scoring once since the winter move. He is contracted to the Gunners next season and an interesting loan move to Belgium could wait for the centre-back.

The Belgians, who are pushing to qualify for Europe, have already had success in the UK market this season with the loan signing of defender Jack Hendry from Celtic. They now hope to persuade Arsenal to allow Medley to move to Belgium on a similar basis next season.

Oostende use a recruitment tool comparable to the ‘Moneyball’ statistical approach and this has brought Kilmarnock’s Arsenal loanee onto their radar. Kilmarnock have three huge matches to come in the Scottish Premiership against Motherwell, St Mirren and Hamilton Accies as they look to secure league safety.
