There seems to be no ceiling to the heights John McGinn can achieve after the Aston Villa and Scotland star shone once again, this time against Manchester United.
The midfielder was immense, despite the 2-1 loss his side suffered in a close game against Manchester United. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial settled a win for the Red Devils, Bertrand Traore scoring for Aston Villa.

But it was McGinn who shone most against the side he was once linked with a £50 million switch to. That price would seem cheap for a player playing at the level McGinn is right now.
He stood out in a game which featured the likes of Paul Pogba, Jack Grealish and Bruno Fernandes in a similar position to him alone, wowing the likes of Gary Neville and more.
The Scotland star, who has become key on both the domestic and international scenes, has played every single minute in the Premier League in the 2020/21 campaign and he’s an immovable force in Dean Smith’s midfield due to his attitude and work ethic.

He played a big part in Aston Villa’s leveller, thinking quick from a free-kick to set the wheels in motion for Traore to turn it into the net. He’s not been left short of admirers in the wake of this performance.
