Billionaire Anders Holch Povlsen’s football group set-up have responded to speculation linking them with investment into Dundee United.
The Danish entrepreneur was recently linked with a possible attempt to purchase shares at Tannadice to add to his company’s portfolio.
Holch Povlsen owns FC Midtjylland in his home country but wants to expand his business having also invested in other clubs around the globe.
His ‘Football Collective’ branch of company Heartland already has money in Portuguese side CD Mafra, Nigerian talent academy FC Ebedei and Danish lower league side FC Fredericia.

Reports in Tipsbladet in his homeland claimed the Tangerines might be the next club to be involved and it was suggested the businessman – worth in the region of £7billion – that he had already explored United as an option.
Now a spokesperson for the Football Collective has reacted to the speculation and refused to rule out a move.
Albeit they were also coy with their plans.
Speaking to the Courier they said: “The Football Collective – which is the company engaged in sports – state that they, of course, always stay away from engaging in speculation,” adding “That said, we are overall very satisfied with the current setup.”
Who is Anders Holch Povlsen?
It was a somewhat vague response regarding the rumours but the link refuses to die down.
Current Dundee United chairman Mark Ogren has an 85 percent controlling stake in the club but business people have come into Scotland in recent times to buy their own way in elsewhere.
Bill Foley at Hibs is the highest profile investor while Hearts remain in talks with Brighton’s Tony Bloom and his analytical company who helped the boardroom land on new boss Neil Critchley.
Anders Holch Povlsen’s net worth is around £7billion
Holch Povlsen, meanwhile, is considered Scotland’s richest man which comes down to the ownership in land in the Highlands.
He has stakes in clothing company ASOS.
