Aberdeen have been the story of the Premiership season so far.
But Dundee United are quietly writing a tale of their own, coming with a fair few twists and turns in its latest chapter – the comeback win over Hibs at the weekend.
Up next for the Tangerines is the unbeaten Dons at Pittodrie on Saturday, a battle of two of the league’s form teams so far this season.
A precious away win could lift Jim Goodwin’s side to within four points of Aberdeen while also halting their momentum ahead of more tricky fixtures.

David Babunski to enlist ex Aberdeen star Bojan Miovski
Goodwin has recruited well for this campaign with the likes of Kristijan Trapanovski settling in very well. Fellow Macedonian David Babunski is another.
The 30-year-old has been a top performer in midfield, starting all but one of the games during United’s impressive early season run.
He was restored to the line-up for the visit of the Hibees at the weekend and is now looking ahead to facing Aberdeen.
And Babunski admits he will be on to international teammate Bojan Miovski for some inside tips on the Dons, after the striker left them in a big money switch to Girona in the summer.
“For sure, I’m going to ask him a few questions,” Babunski told the Courier.
“Why not? Let’s see what he can tell me about Aberdeen and how we can exploit their weaknesses.”
Dundee United ‘explosion of emotions’
Babunski admits the crazy end to the Hibs game was unlike anything he’s experienced for a while.
The visitors were leading 2-1 with five minutes of regulation play to go when they had captain Joe Newell sent off for a second bookable offence.
Two minutes into stoppage time Luca Stephenson struck to equalise and then, as far on as the 99th minute, Meshack Ubochioma pounced on a Josef Bursik error to lift the winning goal over him and sparking absolute bedlam.
Goodwin admitted he was left red-faced after getting caught up in the celebrations and slipping and falling on the pitch.
Babunski said: “It was an explosion of emotions.
“It’s been a long time since I have experienced a game like that.
“The fans have been remarkable, and I think that was a gift for them. They deserve it for the support they’ve been showing us all from the beginning of the season.
“We had an example from the Kilmarnock game (3-3 draw) that if we don’t give up – go until the end – then we have the capacity and quality to turn situations around.”
