Dundee United are preparing to receive a £350k bid for goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist, who has been linked with Celtic in recent months (Record).

Siegrist had an outstanding 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season for the Tannadice side and has attracted transfer interest from Celtic and teams across Europe. Dundee United are braced for interest in their Swiss keeper and have been linked with Scottish keeper Liam Kelly, who shone on loan at Motherwell last term.

English League One side Ipswich Town are long-term admirers of Siegrist and could bid six figures for his services. Siegrist is in the final year of his Dundee United deal and teams like Celtic could be alerted to the fact he is unlikely to sign an extension.

New Dundee United head coach Thomas Courts is looking to strengthen his Tannadice squad. Former Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew is set to sign while they have offered a contract to St Mirren’s out-of-contract Jake Doyle-Hayes.
