Dundee United’s Benjamin Siegrist has interest from Celtic to Moscow – but the Bundesliga is the place that the Swiss keeper has his eyes on.

Micky Mellon’s stopper has been in sensational form this season, a major contributor in their current standing in the top six. It’s lead to the likes of Celtic scouting him and interest from abroad, Russian side CSKA Moscow and German outfit Schalke all taking an interest.

While Celtic have watched Siegrist on multiple occasions this term, it’s German interest that takes Siegrist’s attention – although he’s settled in Tayside (Blick): “It could be an interesting transfer period, I’ll just let it come to me.

“I’m happy at Dundee United and grateful that they put me in this shop window. My goal is to play at the highest level. I am ready for the next step. (My agent) does this work for me. But of course: the Bundesliga would be very attractive!

“As long as my performance is right, I am certainly in a strong position.”

One player definitely on the way out Dundee United is Paul McMullan. The winger has found regular minutes hard to come by at Tannadice this season and now moves across the road, literally. Dundee have snapped up his services and he will swap tangerine for dark blue next term.
