It wasn’t too long ago when Hibs and Aberdeen faced each other in the Premiership at Easter Road.
In fact, it was only around three-and-a-half weeks ago when two of Scotland’s biggest teams played out an enthralling 3-3 draw in the capital, with Hibs snatching a last-gasp equaliser.
Now, the two teams will meet on Saturday afternoon at Pittodrie as fans of both sides hope for a less chaotic encounter.
Aberdeen have enjoyed a two-week rest and will be feeling recharged ahead of the busy festive period. But the pressure is on to deliver a first Premiership win since November 9.
Manager Jimmy Thelin is likely to welcome back left-back Jack MacKenzie, with Leighton Clarkson keeping his place after a good performance against St Johnstone last time out.
For Hibs, boss David Gray is hoping for a second consecutive league victory and is likely to keep much of the same XI that started in the 3-1 win over Ross County.
Josh Campbell has scored two goals in his last three games and could be given the nod to start in the attacking midfield position behind Elie Youan and Dwight Gayle.
