Hearts fans have been left stunned by manager Neil Critchley’s starting XI for the Ross County test in Dingwall this afternoon.
The Jambos are second-bottom in the Premiership after defeat to arch-rivals Hibs on Boxing Day left them just two points ahead of St Johnstone.
Critchley is struggling to put together a run of consistent results as Hearts take one step forward but then another back in their quest to climb up the table.
It’s Ross County away for Hearts today and the Staggies are a formidable side at home. They are also coming off the back of a stunning 3-0 away win over Dundee.
Regardless, Hearts need to be eyeing a win in this fixture. But judging the reaction from fans after the starting XI was announced on X, they are expecting another defeat.

Critchley made three changes to his Edinburgh derby line-up with Jorge Grant, Liam Boyce and Adam Forrester playing from the start.
Captain Lawrence Shankland is nowhere to be seen in the matchday squad which of course is a huge concern for Hearts punters.
They have been reacting to the starting XI on X, with one saying: “Boyce and Grant. We will not be there.”
Another posted: “I feel for the fans who have travelled up today, to be served up with a hearts team including Boyce, and Grant is embarrassing. Our club is an absolute shambles.”
