Hearts now have a number of young players out on loan in the lower leagues as they learn their trade.
While 17-year-old James Wilson is earning rave Jambos reviews in the first team alongside Adam Forrester, who is also a regular, some of their former B team pals are out elsewhere.
Macaulay Tait joined Livingston on loan in January for the rest of the Championship season, while Callum Sandilands and Bobby McLuckie went to League One Montrose and Stenhousemuir respectively.
Goalkeeper Harry Stone was already at Ayr United from the start of the season and has been praised by manager Scott Brown while Ethan Drysdale has since gone to Partick Thistle as part of the deal that took Harry Milne to Tynecastle.
Another player who has been out on loan is Finlay Pollock at Raith, branded by former sporting director Joe Savage as even better than Wilson.

Raith Rovers fans hail Hearts loanee Finlay Pollock
Pollock scored on his Raith debut against Hamilton and has impressed but has been in and out of the side due to niggling injuries.
He has four goals in 17 games as he builds up his first-team experience.
But his best moment in Fife has now arrived with a starring show and a double in a 3-0 victory over Partick Thistle.
The 20-year-old opened the scoring after eight minutes after rival midfielder Kyle Turner inadvertently laid one on a plate for him, and he doubled the lead on 26 with a close range finish.
Dylan Easton rounded off the scoring with a penalty in the second half but it was the Hearts youngster who picked up the man of the match award.
Raith fans were ecstatic with him, one saying: βWell deserved MOM. Absolutely fantastic today.β
Another wrote: βWell deserved β worked his socks off today.β
This fan said: βA worthy man of the match today. Two great finishes and worked his socks off for the team in attack and defence, well done young man..β
Another said: βFinlay was outstanding today.β
Can Pollock make the grade at Hearts?
There would have been doubts in the earlier months of his loan as Pollock wasnβt a regular in the Championship.
It came as injury problems which have already plagued him at Hearts continued to do so.
But he is now taking on a starring role under Barry Robson and hopes will be high he can go back to Gorgie and have an impact, especially with Savageβs comments proving he is highly thought of .
