Hibs have given their fans a real glimmer of hope with their last two performances.
After switching to a 3-5-2 the Hibees were impressive against Motherwell yesterday and deserved every inch of their 3-0 victory at Fir Park.
Junior Hoilett, Mykola Kuharevich and Josh Campbell were the scorers as David Gray’s side dominated the game and ran out convincing winners.
The result moved them off the foot of the table and they remain 11th this evening as rivals Hearts could only draw with Aberdeen.
It is a slightly better picture and the Hibs board abandoned any plans for an emergency meeting after a three-game run they had pinpointed as crucial for the manager’s future.

Josh Campbell Hibs potential talked up
Midfielder Josh Campbell has had a strange season.
He began the campaign as a regular starter and was talked up by David Gray as someone he looked set to rely on.
But as they struggled for results he found himself out of the team. Not only that, he was completely dropped from the squad for some games.
Campbell has been been back on the bench for recent fixtures and made a goalscoring contribution yesterday.
And Neil McCann reckons Hibs should be looking to try and get that more regularly from the 24-year-old.
Poring over the match for BBC Sportscene, he said: “See if they can unlock Josh Campbell? I think there is so much in that boy.
“He’s got a real engine, he can go box-to-box. If they can unlock his goal threat I think it will serve Hibs really well this season because of the initative.
“If you can get that from that boy I think he is a player that can really light up Hibs’ goalscoring charts.”
On Campbell’s goal, James McFadden added: “That’s a better finish than it looks because it bounces up at an awkward angle for him.
“Maybe when he’s running in he’s thinking ‘I’m going to just smash this across goal and let it drop a bit’.
“But he has to take the shot a little bit higher which means he’s taking away the power and is going for placement and he catches Oxborough out at the near post, a brilliant finish.”
Nicky Cadden impresses for Hibs again
Nicky Cadden is another in a Hibs jersey who has impressed in recent games, firing in an unstoppable free-kick from distance against Aberdeen.
Cadden provided an assist for Hoilett yesterday and Kuharevich’s goal came from a corner delivered by the wide man.
McCann added: “He has been (impressive) and you think back to the Dundee game when Obita gets sent off and Nicky goes to left-back and then there’s a double substitution. Him and his brother Chris come off early in the game and you felt for him a bit.
“But he’s back in the team against Aberdeen and plays a part there.
“This (assist for Hoilett) is a really good early ball into the box, he knows he’s got players hitting the six-yard box.
“Again (for second goal) Nicky is out in the wide area, lots of pace on the cross.
“They need quality in the final third and he certainly showed he’s got it.”
