The Hibees are unbeaten since a 4-1 thumping off Dundee which came immediately before that enthralling 3-3 with the Dons.
Hibs and Aberdeen have since met at Pittodrie and and the way side ran out convincing 3-1 winners that day as part of David Gray’s side’s current ten-game unbeaten run.
The Dons’ form couldn’t be more contrasting and they haven’t tasted victory in the Premiership since November 9 and are at risk of sliding down the table further.
Hibs have signed midfielder Alasana Manneh in recent days but he is not yet available until international clearance and a visa comes through.
They’ve also had a bid for forward Elie Youan from Blackburn Rovers, which has been rejected.
The forward is unavailable to face Aberdeen anyway, as one of three Hibs stars out.
The Dons have already had January signings Jeppe Okkels, Kristers Tobers, Alfie Dorrington and Alexander Jensen involved in recent games.
