The Aaron Hickey speculation continues to persist with Leeds United the latest side to be linked with Hearts’ teenage star.
A recent report (The Sun on Sunday, 20/10/19, page 65) claims that the Whites have been scouting the 17-year-old with a view to bidding for him in January.
A host of big names have been linked with the Jambos starlet. Leeds’ Championship rivals QPR were linked with a £1.5 million move for the youngster recently (Daily Record).
Leeds one of many reportedly interested in Hickey
A bit closer to home, Rangers have also been linked with the full-back (Scottish Sun). It was reported that sporting director Ross Wilson would recommend a £2 million Hickey bid, but Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard has distanced himself from the rumours (Scotsman).
Perhaps the biggest name linked with him is Manchester City (Daily Mail). The report states that City may launch a seven figure bid in January, and if it’s successful, they’ll loan Hickey back to Hearts.
At this stage, Leeds are just another name as Hickey continues to be linked to various clubs. Hearts will be desperate to keep him, but they seemingly have no shortage of suitors wanting to take the teenager of their hands.
It appears as though Leeds are one team who’d like to prise Hickey away from Gorgie.
