Per-Mathias Hogmo has reportedly ruled himself out of the running to become Hearts‘ new manager.
The Norwegian coach had been in discussions with the Jambos as they look to replace Steven Naismith permanently as the club looked to use Tony Bloom’s analytics company in a bid to identify their new manager.
Hogmo, it had been claimed by some media outlets, was the leading candidate to take the job as chief executive Andrew McKinlay fancied bringing in the experienced former Norway boss, but now it’s believed those talks have broken down.
We at Not the Old Firm exclusively revealed to you earlier today how it was former Blackpool manager Neil Critchley who was leading the pack of candidates to take the Tynecastle job.

The ex-Queen’s Park Rangers gaffer, 45, has also spoken to the higher-ups in Gorgie about potentially being the man to come in and fix their season.
Critchley has worked in the EFL with a number of clubs but it was his work with Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp which has had teams sit up and take notice as he built his reputation with the Reds’ youth academy.

He also worked closely with Steven Gerrard at Anfield and was a one-time consideration for a coaching job with the former Rangers manager in Saudi with Al-Ettifaq before he chose the Tangerines.
Liam Fox will remain the Jambos interim head coach until a new permanent one can be found but it is now unlikely to be Hogmo who counts the Norway national side, Rosenborg and Hacken among some of his other former clubs.
He was most recently in charge at Urawa Red Diamonds in Japan.
