Campbell has a bright Hibs future
We’ve tipped him for a breakthrough season at Hibs once and this just cements the fact Campbell has a big future at Easter Road.
Sure, it’s only a friendly. This was a testing clash for Paul Heckingbottom’s side all the same though. In their moment of need to win the match, 18-year-old Campbell stepped up.
It was a calm and composed finished by Campbell under some pressure, guiding his shot expertly into the corner.
Having spent time at Airdrieonians last season, the youngster knows the demands of first-team football a bit better now. It should stand him in good stead for the forthcoming season.
When opportunities to impress in the senior team arise for youngsters, it’s important they grab them with both hands. Campbell has certainly done that and he’ll have left a good impression on manager Heckingbottom with his match winner.
