Dundee will turn their attention to the Scottish Cup this weekend and distract themselves from their bid to survive the Premiership drop.
The Dens Park side eased their way past Airdrieonians at the start of February to book their place in the quarter-finals of the country’s premier cup competition.
They were drawn a tough tie, however, in the shape of a rejuvenated Hearts side. The Jambos squeezed past St Mirren on penalties to reach this stage.

Dundee will travel to Tynecastle on Friday night with a little bit more confidence having taken their first Premiership point since January 14.
They drew to bottom side St Johnstone, while Hearts go into the fixture off the back of a 2-1 Edinburgh derby loss to Hibs at Easter Road.
Dundee last met Hearts on February 1 at Dens Park and were humiliated by a ruthless Jambos outfit. The 6-0 defeat started a downward spiral in results which leaves the Dee in 11th spot currently.

Docherty wants to avenge Dundee 0-6 Hearts
Dundee boss Tony Docherty namechecked that disastrous results in his comments this week leading up to the Scottish Cup clash under the lights in Gorgie.
And he is eager for ‘retribution’ on Friday evening and thinks Dundee are more than capable of causing an upset in the capital.
Docherty said: “We can go to Tynecastle and win the game, absolutely. There’s a bit of retribution there because that Hearts game was the start of our poor run.
“It’s important that we’re really positive going there. It’s a real opportunity to get to Hampden and we put that as an objective at the start of the season.
“We want to get to a semi-final. Loads of clubs would like to be in our position, in the quarter-final of the (Scottish) Cup.”
Dundee have ‘belief’ ahead of Hearts in Scottish Cup
Veteran Dundee goalkeeper Trevor Carson has been in and out of the side this season, with Jon McCracken getting his fair crack of the whip between the sticks.
Carson was back in to face St Johnstone on Saturday and feels, despite Dundee’s last win coming in the cup against Airdrieonians, the dressing room is full of ‘belief’.
He said: “The cup is definitely a welcome distraction. This is not where I wanted to be in the league going into it, considering where we were sitting a month ago. But we see this as a huge opportunity.
“What a chance it is to get to the semi finals of the Scottish Cup and go to Hampden, then we’d be coming back into a big derby game.
“There’s a lot of hope in our dressing room and a lot of belief. It’s an exciting game to head into. That 6-0 defeat to Hearts hurt. And when you look back, it did lead to a bit of a downfall.
“Hopefully, our rock-bottom was at Motherwell, and this is the start of an upward curve.”
