Arsenal and Scotland left-back Kieran Tierney has responded after entering a 14-day isolation period following COVID-19 problems on international duty.
The full-back was set to feature in one of Scotland’s most important matches in recent times. Steve Clarke’s side face Israel tonight, looking to book their place in a Euro 2020 play-off final.

But preparations have been majorly disrupted after Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong picked up a positive virus test. It’s meant that key players in Arsenal’s Tierney and Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie have had to enter isolation, along with members of the backroom staff.
It’s a major headache for Clarke along with the injuries that have come to light. For Arsenal and Tierney, the defender could now be missing for their huge game away to Manchester City on October 17.
Tierney himself has spoken in light of the news, stating that Arsenal and the SFA are locked in talks to gain a better grasp of the situation at hand.
“I’m so disappointed and frustrated to be in this situation,” said Tierney. “I have adhered to all regulations and made sure I was socially distancing from my team mates in the hotel.
“I’ve also tested negative. I know Arsenal and the SFA are now in discussions with the Scottish authorities to gain a further understanding.”
