Newcastle United talent Elliot Anderson looks to have picked England over Scotland as the teenager featured against an Arsenal XI for the Three Lions U19s.

The young England side thrashed the Arsenal XI 6-1 in a friendly match, Anderson making his debut for them at U19s level. He has broken through at Newcastle United this season, making two appearances.

Both of those came against Arsenal, one in the FA Cup and the other in the Premier League. Anderson previously represented Scotland at youth level, featuring for the U16s and U17s, while also appearing in Scotland U19s squads.

But now he has also played for England on the international youth scene, but this does not necessarily mean the Newcastle United youngster won’t play for the senior Scotland side one day. Che Adams featured for England at U20s level but has made his Scotland senior debut this week after pledging his allegiances to navy blue.
