- EXCLUSIVE with Graeme Bailey
Toyosi Olusanya has been terrorising Scottish Premiership defences in what has been his best St Mirren season to date.
The powerful striker has eight league goals to his game this season and his all-round play has been crucial to the way the Buddies play, his pace and strength allowing him to stretch and bully defences.
Out of contract at the end of the season, other teams are starting to recognise his qualities.
Olusanya was previously quoted as saying he was putting contract talks on hold as he concentrated on his club’s top six bid, but the Daily Record reported two weeks ago that he was set to snub a new deal.
Stephen Robinson could also lose strike partner Mikael Mandron from his squad as he is out of contract too. We previously reported on Rotherham’s interest in the 30-year-old during the January window.

Eintracht Frankfurt join race for St Mirren’s Olusanya
Not the Old Firm understands German giants Eintracht Frankfurt have joined the chase for St Mirren striker Toyosi Olusanya.
We can reveal that Frankfurt were in attendance at the Buddies’ clash with Celtic earlier this month to see the former Middlesbrough man in action.
They wanted to see how he fared against American internationals Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty and although he did not score, it is believed they came away impressed with what they saw.
The 27-year-old has rejected St Mirren’s offer of a new contract and is set to leave this summer.
We believe that a number of The Buddies’ top-flight rivals including Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen have shown an interest in Olusanya too, but he is considering his options which could now very well include Frankfurt.
There is also interest back in England in the speedy striker.
What Stephen Robinson said on Olusanya’s future
Saints boss Stephen Robinson is resigned to losing both Olusanya and defender Richard Taylor.
He said recently: “We’ve put our best offers to Richard and Toy. They won’t be signing.
“They’ve been offered probably three times what we could offer, I’m led to believe from agents, whether that’s true or not.
“We’ve put our best offer to them and there’s only a certain level this football club can go to for players. That’s just the reality of the situation. We’re already actively trying to recruit players and recruit other players.
“Martin’s looking in those positions to try and strengthen should both boys move on and, if they do, they’ll move on with our best wishes.”
