Your January 10 transfer window update. Not The Old Firm has news regarding Hearts, Hibs, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Ross County.

Cammy Devlin & Danny Armstrong Hearts updates

Cammy Devlin reportedly has a £280k release clause in his Hearts contract amid transfer interest from Portsmouth and New York City FC.

It has been said the Aussie midfielder has been shortlisted by the two aforementioned sides with over two-and-a-half weeks of the January window to go.

But a raging Neil Critchley has since denied the accuracy of the figure and blasted whoever leaked the information about Devlin.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock winger Danny Armstrong has been approached by Hearts over a pre-contract deal.

The Jambos have opened talks with Armstrong and his representatives with the Killie winger guaranteed to leave the Rugby Park club this year.

David Gray on Hibs transfer plans

Hibs boss David Gray was asked on Friday about his plans for the rest of the January window with regards to more ins and outs.

He replied: “Yeah, naturally with the window being open, there will be movement everywhere. As I’ve said, even though the window’s just open, the process has never stopped and we’re trying to be as pro-active as we can.

“There’s work behind the scenes to see what potentially could become available. With the squad we’ve got, if anything can be done we feel can improve the squad whilst the window is open, we will try and look to do that.

“If a bit of X-factor came along and the club would like to support us on, that would be great as well. It’s about being pro-active just in case anything else does happen.”

Dundee United want 2 new signings

Jim Goodwin says Dundee United have received plenty of interest from players and agents this January window.

Speaking to the press, he said: “We are working on trying to get players in, similar to just about every other manager out there I’d imagine, we all want to strengthen for the second half of the campaign.

“We always want to end the transfer window stronger than when it started, it’s not about trying to replace anyone in the squad – it’s just about trying to add quality and to ease the pressure of the workload on the players that we have.

“So we are working really hard behind the scenes to add at least one, potentially two new faces, to the group that we have to make sure we are in a strong position going into the end of the season.

“I’ve been on the phone with agents regularly, and with my chief scout, discussing the options that are available to us and I am confident that we will be able to add to the squad in this window.

“Our performances this season can absolutely help us attract players and I think that is what we are all hoping for – we are an attractive proposition for a lot of agents and players.

“You’re not asking someone to come in and be part of a relegation dogfight where confidence is low, you’re asking them to come into a place where confidence is high and a really positive culture.

“We have been inundated with requests from agents and from players, it’s now just about us going through that list and making sure we identify the right characters and the players with the right ability to strengthen us.”

St Mirren also seeking 2 more recruits

Stephen Robinson wants a couple of more new faces added to his St Mirren squad, with one ‘very close’ to joining.

He told the media: “I would like to add two more. One that we are very close to completing, in the forward areas, a wide player.

“Hopefully we could get one more in as well. It would strengthen the squad and I would then balance that up with boys going out.

“We’re obviously at the mercy of other clubs as well. We will look to move some players out and we’re probably top heavy in the forward areas.”

The Rugby Park club told fans: “We can confirm that Oli Bainbridge has been recalled by Sunderland.

“Oli was part of the team who secured our historic UEFA Conference League victory in Tromsø. All the best for the future, Oli!”
