Hearts midfielder Cammy Devlin is reportedly attracting transfer interest from both Portsmouth and New York City FC.

The Jambos have recruited striker Elton Kabangu and Jamie McCart so far this January, but outgoings are also expected.

Andres Salazar was the first to leave after his loan from Atletico Nacional was terminated, while Kye Rowles is closing in on a £600k exit to DC United.

Speculation surrounds the likes of Barrie McKay and Yutaro Oda regarding their futures at Tynecastle, but nobody expected Devlin to be a potential departee.

Hearts star Cammy Devlin attracting transfer interest

It is being reported by the Edinburgh Evening News that EFL Championship outfit Portsmouth and MLS side New York City FC want to sign Aussie midfielder Devlin.

This is despite Devlin signing a new contract with Hearts until the summer of 2026 just a few months ago.

Devlin allegedly has a transfer release clause in his contract worth £280k and it appears Portsmouth and NYCFC are keen on triggering it.

It is also said that Portsmouth have watched Devlin for a period of time now and will make a decision on whether to lodge an offer for the Hearts star before the transfer deadline in February.

With regards to NYCFC, the MLS season starts next month and Devlin is said to be high on a shortlist of potential signings for the club.

Devlin feels at home with Hearts

It was only in September when Devlin committed his future to Hearts until 2026 and he expressed how he feels right at home in Edinburgh with the Jambos.

After signing the contract, the 26-year-old said: “I think everyone knows that this is a place where I feel really comfortable.

“I feel at home here at Hearts. I’m excited to extend and looking forward to kicking on now.

“I love Edinburgh, and the club’s made me feel super welcome since I got here. The fans have accepted me as one of their own which when you’ve come from the other side of the world, you really appreciate.”
