Benji Kimpioka remains a St Johnstone player despite making it clear he wants to leave and having offers to do so in January.
Back in December, it was reported Kimpioka was shunning Saints contract talks with his current deal up this summer, opening the door for a potential January exit.
The Swedish striker then had three chances to leave in January but none of them came to fruition as he dug his heels in and opted to stay at McDiarmid Park.
Belgian side Leuven had an offer accepted for Kimpioka, but talks with his former Sunderland boss Chris Coleman broke down and that move fell apart.
Their divisional rivals Beerschot had an bid accepted too but the 25-year-old snubbed that one and St Johnstone knocked back an offer from Dutch outfit Fortuna Sittard.
So he stayed put and has found himself out of the first-team picture. It emerged last week Kimpioka could still leave St Johnstone with foreign clubs still keeping tabs with their windows remaining open.

Widzew Lodz launch bid for St Johnstone’s Benji Kimpioka
One of them, Widzew Lodz, is now making their move on their deadline day.
The Polish transfer window closes today and the relegation-threatened Ekstraklasa side are trying to get a deal done with the Scottish Premiership side.
The Courier reports though that it is unlikely Kimpioka will be heading there. Despite a deal with the clubs seeming straightforward, it looks like he will snub another chance to earn Saints some money.
What Simo Valakari said about Kimpioka at St Johnstone
Speaking last week, Valakari said: “Like I have always said, it is up to Benji.
“The window is still open in some places, and he is exploring the options that are out there.
“It’s not a problem. The situation is very clear.

“We will see as the days and weeks go on – I certainly haven’t ruled Benji out of playing.
“At the moment there are so many things happening off the field it’s not ideal for Benji and for the team.
“But that can change, and as with everyone, the bottom line is how you train – how you train decides what happens.
“At the moment, players are ahead of him but if Benji gets back to top form he will play because he benefits us.
“We all know what he can contribute, and I’d be more than happy to take him back, but at the moment he has to earn that.”
Kimpioka missed out on another matchday squad when the Premiership’s bottom side lost to Hearts yesterday.
