Motherwell have suffered a significant blow as Lennon Miller’s injury timeline was revealed by boss Stuart Kettlewell.
Miller had to be substituted out of Motherwell’s impressive 2-2 draw with Rangers on December 29 in the second-half due to an ankle knock.
It was sustained after a challenge with Oscar Cortes earlier in the match and while Miller battled on, eventually he had to come off.
In the days afterwards, it was unclear how bad Miller’s injury would be. But speaking to the BBC before the Steelmen’s away fixture against Hearts, Kettlewell confirmed it’s a bad one after a specialist’s prognosis.

Lennon Miller out for more than 2 months
Miller will now miss the next six to eight weeks, according to Stuart Kettlewell. The Motherwell boss explained: “He’s going to be longer than a month.
“He’s got a hairline fracture in his ankle which is going to keep him out for an extended period of time.
“He’s done this twice now. With Lennon being Lennon he tried to stay on. Last season he had a fracture in his patella but tried to finish the game.
“But in getting that yellow card it looks like he’s sustained a pretty significant injury which is going to keep him out somewhere around six to eight weeks.”
Miller now unlikely to move in January
One of Scotland’s brightest talents, midfielder Miller has been a standout for Motherwell this season.
As a result, he’s been linked with massive moves away from Fir Park including Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Liverpool and Southampton had also been credited with an interest, but it’s clear Miller won’t be leaving Motherwell any time soon.
