With almost three days gone, Aberdeen are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window.
But business is forthcoming. Jimmy Thelin has already expressed the need for new additions this month due to injury problems and a worrying run of form that continued in defeat to Ross County.
The Dons have submitted an offer to Grasshopper Club Zurich for defender Kristers Tobers with £700k needed to move forward with the pursuit.
They may also look to recruit for their midfield and attacking options this month, but outgoings are also expected.
And it appears Inverness Caledonian Thistle are interested in two of Aberdeen’s younger stars as the troubled League One outfit aim to stave off relegation.

Inverness CT want Aberdeen starlets Alfie Bavidge & Alfie Stewart
According to the Daily Record, Inverness are keen on adding Aberdeen duo Alfie Bavidge and Alfie Stewart to their ranks.
Caley Thistle – who are currently in administration – want the pair on loan until the end of the season as they try and beef up their squad to avoid dropping down to League Two.
It is said manager Scott Kellacher wants to add numbers to his team but can only sign players under the age of 21 due to administration restrictions.
Bavidge is a Scotland U19 international who is currently on loan at Ayr United, so Aberdeen would need to sanction an exit from Somerset Park before Inverness can recruit the star.
18-year-old midfielder Stewart enjoyed a loan spell with Peterhead last season.
Jimmy Thelin on improving Aberdeen squad
Meanwhile, Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin is striving to improve his squad amid a run of form that sees them winless in nine Premiership games.
The Swede said: “We have a journey to be that team, there is no way around it. We need to keep working to strengthen our skills and team to be even better.
“Everybody has to work and take responsibility. Me, my staff and players to reach those levels where we want to be. From the beginning, we have to keep growing to get whole seasons (consistently).
“For me, the league is the most important thing. If we get stable there, we can arrive in the cups or Europe, so we have to keep working hard in training and do well in recruitment to be that team consistently over the season.”
