Aberdeen are still active in the January transfer window despite just hours remaining to do business.
The Dons have backed manager Jimmy Thelin financially this month as they spend big to mould the squad the Swede desires.
Aberdeen have made two permanent signings in Kristers Tobers from Grasshopper and Alexander Jensen arriving from IF Brommapojkarna.
Both cost a combined £1.3m, while the club have also recruited Jeppe Okkels and Alfie Dorrington on loan from Preston and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Marko Lazetic to Aberdeen now ‘unlikely’
In recent days, Aberdeen have been linked with Maccabi Tel-Aviv defender Tyrese Asante, as well as AC Milan striker Marko Lazetic.
It was reported that Lazetic was being sought after on loan by the Pittodrie team, with the Serbian currently on loan at FK TSC in his home country.
But Sky Sports are now reporting that Aberdeen and AC Milan entered into talks but couldn’t come to an agreement over a possible deal for Lazetic.
However, they say the Dons could come back in for the forward in the summer transfer window.
The outlet wrote on their transfer blog: “Aberdeen’s hopes of landing AC Milan striker Marko Lazetic are looking increasingly unlikely.
“It’s understood the clubs have been unable to agree terms on a loan deal with an option to buy.
“He is currently on loan at FK TSC Backa Topola. Aberdeen may reignite their interest in the summer.”
Who is Marko Lazetic?
Lazetic began his career with Red Star Belgrade and made his first-team debut in 2020 at the tender age of just 16.
AC Milan swooped to sign him two years later just after he turned 18 for a fee of €4m. But his time there has not worked out having still only made one league appearance for the Italian giants.
Since 2022, Lazetic has played for SC Rheindorf Altach, Fortuna Sittard and now FK TSC on loan as he seeks regular game time.
He has played 23 games this season but hasn’t hit the back of the net yet, so perhaps Aberdeen fans have dodged a bullet here.
