Your second January transfer deadline day update has arrived. We have news regarding Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee, St Johnstone, Motherwell and Falkirk.

Aberdeen sign Mats Knoester

Aberdeen have completed the signing of defender Mats Knoester.

Knoester was looking for a new club after his contract with Ferencvaros recently expired. The 26-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Pittodrie with the option for a further year.

The Dutchman told Aberdeen’s official website: “I had other options but when I knew Aberdeen were interested, I wanted to come here.

“I was already aware of the club and how big it was and as soon as I arrived, I could see how professional the environment is.

“I am looking forward to this challenge, in a good league, where football is deep in the culture.

“It is important to have a place to settle in this phase of my career and find a stable place to be where I can show my qualities, compete in this squad and get my chance of playing at a club that is really ambitious.”

Hearts – Malachi Boateng & Harry Milne

EFL Championship strugglers Plymouth Argyle have submitted a bid for Hearts midfielder Malachi Boateng.

Plymouth are managed by Miron Muslic, the former Cercle Brugge boss who faced the Jambos in the Europa Conference League earlier this season.

The Home Park club want to strengthen their midfield and are interested in Boateng’s services. The Englishman only joined Hearts in the summer from Crystal Palace.

Elsewhere, Partick Thistle full-back Harry Milne is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Hearts. The left-back will provide cover for James Penrice.

Hibs – Josef Bursik & Ryan Porteous

Hibs have blocked the exit of loan goalkeeper Josef Bursik.

Bristol Rovers were credited with an interest in the Club Brugge stopper, but the Easter Road side want to keep the Englishman in Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, Hibs won’t be receiving their Ryan Porteous sell-on fee this month as the defender sealed a loan move from Watford to Preston North End.

Hibs are due 20/25 percent of any future transfer fee involving the Scotland defender.

Dundee’s Lyall Cameron signs pre-contract deal

Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron will sign for Rangers in the summer.

The 22-year-old’s contract at Dens Park will expire at the end of the season and Rangers have confirmed he will play for the Ibrox club afterwards.

Aberdeen were said to be interested in hijacking Rangers’ interest in Cameron, but his future has now been decided.

Rangers may need to stump up around £400k in compensation for Cameron in the summer, per the Daily Record.

In other Dundee news, The Courier have reported that they do not expect any further incomings or outgoings at Dens Park tonight.

Zach Mitchell & Stephen Duke-McKenna set for St Johnstone

St Johnstone are closing in on the signings of both Zach Mitchell and Stephen Duke-McKenna.

Mitchell is a centre-back from Charlton Athletic and is expected to complete a loan deal tonight, while winger Duke-McKenna is set to arrive from Harrogate on loan.

Motherwell’s Lennon Miller stance

It has been reported that Motherwell will not allow Lennon Miller to leave the club before the window closes tonight.

Miller has attracted interest from the biggest English Premier League clubs and Celtic are also keen on the teenage midfielder.

But Motherwell do not want to sell until the current season is over.

Linfield sign Falkirk’s Callumn Morrison

The Callumn Morrison Falkirk saga is finally over as the forward sealed a switch to Northern Irish side Linfield.

Morrison handed in a transfer request earlier this month. He scored 64 goals and made 24 assists in 156 appearances for the Bairns.
