Hibs have all but wrapped up their business for the January transfer window.

The Easter Road club have not managed to add to their solitary signing this month, which was midfielder Alasana Manneh from Odense Boldklub.

We told you before the window how Hibs also wanted a goalkeeper and striker, but that hasn’t come to fruition.

Elie Youan’s future was unclear as Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City submitted bids for the Frenchman, the latter a £1.5m offer – but he is set to stay in Leith.

Elsewhere, Not The Old Firm exclusively revealed Harry McKirdy is poised to sign for Bromley and it was thought he would be the final announcement.

Luke Amos leaves Hibs

But Hibs have now confirmed that midfielder Luke Amos has departed the club by mutual consent. Amos signed for the Hibees in January 2024 but only made 15 appearances in total for the club.

The former England U18 international struggled to get game time and that is why he has been allowed to leave and find another opportunity.

Hibs boss David Gray gave his thoughts, saying: “Luke hasn’t played as much as he’d like this season, and expressed an interest to explore other opportunities.

“We have allowed him to move on and make the next steps in his playing career.

“I would like to thank Luke for his efforts and wish him all the best moving forward.”

Amos career to date

Luke Amos began his professional career at Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur where he came through the youth academy.

He would make just one appearance for the first-team before embarking on a number of loan moves to Southend United, Stevenage and Queens Park Rangers.

Amos would eventually move to QPR permanently during the COVID-19 pandemic and played 95 times in total for the Londoners, scoring eight goals.

He was released in 2023 and spent six months in the wilderness before Hibs gave him a contract.
