Hibs are looking to get deals done as we reach the latter part of the transfer window.
The Hibees have been looking to strengthen during January but have been keeping their cards close to their chest as they wait for the right moment to bring in the right targets.
Not the Old Firm have already revealed that ‘phenomenal’ Tottenham youngster Tyrese Hall was on the Hibees’ radar but a loan is no longer happening amid English Championship interest.
There had been strong suggestions a switch to Easter Road was imminent for the 19-year-old.
We had previously told how the Hibees were prioritising a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker in this window.
The need for a keeper has been minimised by Jordan Smith’s form but they are still looking at outfielders and lodged an offer for Finnish teen Matias Siltanen.
Hibs were also linked to Croatian Jani Atanasov as they look to strengthen in midfield.
But they now look to be closing in on a player who can fill the void.

Hibs eye Manneh swoop
Hibs and David Gray are looking to get a deal done for OB midfielder Alasana Manneh, according to the Daily Record.
The Gambia international is out of contract with the Danish side in the summer and so will be available on a free, but the Easter Road men are trying to pay cash to get him this month.
Manneh has been a regular in the second tier this season following his club’s relegation and a decent assists return of seven.
But he has not featured in their last two matches with a transfer exit a strong possibility.
The 26-year-old has been in Denmark for almost three years after spells in Spain and Poland and Hibs hope the Scottish Premiership will provide the next chapter of his career.
Who is Hibs target Alasana Manneh?
Manneh is a 26-year-old Gambian international midfielder who currently plays in Denmark’s second tier with OB.
He is a product of the Aspire Academy, based in Qatar, from where he was spotted and picked up by Barcelona, moving to Spain at the age of 18.
The La Liga giants loaned him out to Sabadell in Segunda Division B and then to Etar in Bulgaria’s top flight, where he spent a season-and-a-half and picked up significant experience.
In 2019, he made a permanent switch to Polish side Gornik Zabrze, where he played with Germany great Lukas Podolski, and was a regular there for three seasons before winning the move to Denmark.
In his second campaign, OB were relegated but the player himself has impressed enough to put himself on Hibs’ radar.
