A fresh transfer link has emerged with North Macedonia midfielder Jani Atanasov linked to Hibs.
The Hibees and new head of recruitment Garvan Stewart are scouring the market for players both for this window and for the summer ahead of next season.
Hibs have a number of players out of contract in the summer and that means there is likely to be a bit of turnover with space created for some quality incomings.
We told how the Easter Road men were targeting a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker in this window as manager David Gray looks to add to his options after the club’s dramatic upturn in form.
And a report in the Daily Record linked them to Atanasov, currently at Cracovia in Poland.

Hibs Atanasov transfer link addressed
It was claimed Atanasov was on a list of names given to Gray by Stewart, and features prominently.
Not the Old Firm understands that the 25-year-old is indeed on a list of potential players looked at by Easter Road chiefs but there is nothing more in it at the moment.
A number of North Macedonian players have thrived in Scotland in recent years – most notably Bojan Miovski who made Aberdeen up to £6.5million (BBC Sport) by moving onto Girona.
There has also been Kristijan Trapanovski and David Babunski at Dundee United as Jim Goodwin successfully scours the market.
Atanasov once linked to Celtic
The international midfielder once linked to Celtic earlier in his career, while a Hajduk Split player (Daily Record).
It came as Ange Postecoglou searched for a midfield anchor in the summer window of 2022.
Split were reportedly willing to do a deal and the Hoops were set to firm up their interest, but it came to nothing.
At that stage, he had just helped his side to a second place finish in Croatia after moving from Bursaspor, and played in Europe for them.
Atanasov has 22 caps for his country and three goals, and once scored an own goal to spare England’s blushes in a Euro qualifying match.
Cracovia fans seem convinced their man is set to move on and have been sending him their best wishes.
Responding to the player posting a picture of himself on social media, one said: “Good luck Boss.”
Another wrote: “Thanks for everything and good luck.”
And another said: “Gonna miss you Jani.”
