Dundee United Dalby latest

Dundee United are STILL waiting on a decision from Wrexham on the Premiership’s joint top scorer Sam Dalby. The League One side have a recall option and are weighing up their options.

Manager Phil Parkinson said: “We haven’t fully decided on that yet.

“Sam had a game on Monday night (the Dundee derby) and we wanted to get that game out of the way.”

Lennon Miller Frankfurt interest

We told yesterday how Motherwell had rejected an offer from Udinese for Lennon Miller but the Italians were expected to come in with another bid.

The Daily Record are also reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt are also interested and considering a swoop.

A bidding war could suit Motherwell, who have stated that the £2.5million offer from Udinese was “miles off” their valuation.

Possible Hearts exits

Hearts trio Barrie McKay, Yutaro Oda and Jorge Grant could leave the club this month with interest in their services.

Grant has been back in the side recently but clubs in England are looking while the other pair have been marginalised at the Jambos.

Macaulay Tait is set to head for the Hearts exit door temporarily with a loan to Livingston.

Meanwhile, they are expected to get a deal over the line for Sander Kartum and make him their fourth January signing.

Saints duo to leave

St Johnstone pair Matt Smith and Cammy MacPherson are set to head out in search of more game time.

Manager Simo Valakari said: “Matt and Cammy came to me and asked if they can explore some different options. I have always said that I would never keep someone here if they don’t want to be here. The talks we had were very good.

“They have a good attitude about it; they want to be playing matches and feel they might not get as much here as they need. That is understandable.

“It wasn’t a case of me telling them I don’t want them and to go. They want to see what else is out there. There’s no drama. They want to play and, as always, we’ll try to find the best solution for them.”

Josh McPake could find a loan as Valakari added: “I took the initiative to speak to Josh and say that we need to see him playing somewhere for the rest of the season. Josh made an impact when he came on in matches but I want to see him playing full games.

“He’s still a young player so needs as many minutes as he can. Hopefully we can find a solution for him. David Keltjens was a mutual decision for many reasons. We need to free up space and he wanted to go home for personal reasons. It was no hassle, agreed quickly and I wish him good luck.”

Lamie loan

Ricki Lamie looks set for a loan spell from Ross County to Championship side Hamilton.

Lamie only signed for the Staggies from Dundee in the summer but picked up an injury and has struggled to get back into the side.

Doak to stay at Boro

Scotland star Ben Doak will be staying at Middlesbrough for the rest of the season after the deadline for Liverpool to recall him passed. Premier League clubs Fulham and Crystal Palace had been bidding for the winger.

But Boro boss Michael Carrick told Teeside Live: “The deadline has passed for Ben. I said all along I was calm! Obviously we’re really happy he’s here, but genuinely, it hasn’t been a big thing for us. He showed again tonight how dangerous he is and then scored a terrific goal. It’s something he can do a little bit more, come inside onto his left foot, because it’s something he’s good at as well. I’m delighted with it.

“He’s got that weapon and unique threat. The way he plays the game, everyone has their own strengths, but the way Ben plays the game, he’s always in the game and always a threat. We’re obviously happy he’ll be staying here. He’s a big role and he’ll continue to do that for the time that he’s here.”

Offord on the go

St Mirren have accepted two offers for Kieran Offord, reports the Daily Record.

The offers came from Glentoran and Linfield after they saw him hit 14 goals for rivals Crusaders while on loan.
