Dalby on Dundee United future

Sam Dalby’s immediate Dundee United has already been sorted with his loan lasting until the end of the season.

But Wrexham have also offered him a new deal to keep him with them next season and Dalby has been discussing his options.

He said: “Yes, of course. A lot of interest at the end of the season would obviously be good but I’m not really looking at that right now.

“I’m just trying to take it game by game and just help my team out. Obviously, Dundee United’s a great place to be and I’m really happy here.

“To be honest, I would say I’ll not think about it until the end of the season, really, once the season’s finished.

“We’re in a good position in the league and I just want to focus game by game to help my team and try and stay up the table.”

Hearts Kartum and Steinwender wait

Hearts fans may have to wait to see new signings Sander Kartum and Michael Steinwender as manager Neil Critchley explained they need time to get up to speed.

He said: “Hopefully we’ll see them sooner rather than later, they’re doing training but they’re at a different stages of where they’re at physically because their seasons finished at the end of November, early December.

“They’ve had their off season and it will be like us returning to pre-season.

“They’re returning to their pre-season, so we have to make sure we try and get them up to speed as soon as possible but as safely as possible as well, because we don’t want them to break down.

“They’ve had four to six weeks of no training so we need to get the balance right between training and getting them up to speed because we all want to see them on the pitch as quickly as possible.”

Daniel Oyegoke is on the verge of leaving Hearts and is in Italy after a Hellas Verona offer was accepted.
