Deadline day is over, as is the January transfer window for Scottish Premiership clubs. And there was late news involving Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs, Kilmarnock, Falkirk, St Johnstone, St Mirren, Motherwell and Dundee.

Aberdeen land Dabbagh

Aberdeen wanted a striker and appeared to miss out on some previous targets but they went into deadline day looking at Oday Dabbagh, and managed to get it over the line with just over an hour to spare.

Dabbagh is Palestine’s all-time leading goalscorer and has previously been compared to Mario Mandzukic by a former coach.

Jimmy Thelin appears convinced he has landed a top striker as he outlined the key characteristics of his signing.

It was the Dons’ second addition of the day as they brought in former Ferencvaros defender Mats Knoester on a free transfer.

But they failed in their attempts to sign another striker as an agreement couldn’t be reached with PSV for Jesper Uneken, according to Sky Sports.

While Duk checked out as he signed for La Liga side Leganes in a six-figure deal.

The duo join Kristers Tobers, Alexander Jensen and Alfie Dorrington as January signings.

One in, one out at Hearts

Hearts brought in competition for left-back James Penrice by signing Harry Milne from Partick Thistle, with Ethan Drysdale heading in the other direction on loan.

There was also a late departure from Tynecastle with Malachi Boateng signing for Plymouth Argyle.

Quiet at Hibs but two exits

Hibs have ended up not making any deadline day signings, meaning Alasana Manneh is their only winter addition.

The Hibees confirmed Harry McKirdy and Luke Amos had left by mutual consent, freeing them up to sign for another team beyond the window.

NTOF told earlier how we expected McKirdy to sign for Bromley.

Falkirk land Arfield

We told how two Scottish clubs, Falkirk and an unnamed outfit, were in a race to sign Scott Arfield as he looked set to leave Bolton.

The Bairns won that race as the experienced midfielder sealed an emotional return to his first club.

Falkirk also brought in Dundee United winger Miller Thomson on loan until the end of the season.

Kilmarnock get deal done

Another Not the Old Firm exclusive from earlier was that Kilmarnock were looking to loan in Leicester City’s Tom Wilson-Brown.

That was confirmed ahead of 11pm as Derek McInnes got his man.

Double St Johnstone deal

St Johnstone got a double deal done with the loan captures of Stephen Duke-McKenna and Zach Mitchell, from Harrogate Town and Charlton Athletic respectively.

Duke-McKenna is a winger and Mitchell is a centre-back.

St Mirren loan ex-Killie man

St Mirren’s only deal of the day was bringing in ex-Kilmarnock loanee Ryan Alebiosu.

The 23-year-old is a right-back and provides a more attacking option that Elvis Bwomono.

The former Arsenal kid joins on loan from Belgian side K.V. Kortrijk, who he joined in the summer.

Motherwell land another keeper

The goalkeeping situation at Motherwell has been an odd one and they’ve now signed a THIRD keeper of the window.

Archie Mair first came in on loan from Norwich but Krisztian Hegyi’s recall to West Ham, coupled with Aston Oxborough’s injury, left them short.

Ellery Balcombe was next to come in on loan from Brentford and the Steelmen have now added

Ellery Balcombe was next to come on loan from Brentford and the Steelmen have now added Calum Ward after his exit from Finnish outfit AC Oulu.

Cameron pre-contract

Dundee suffered a blow with the news Lyall Cameron had signed a pre-contract with Rangers.

No deal was struck to take the midfielder to Ibrox before the deadline so he stays at Dens Park until the summer.
