Lennon Miller would be worth £15m in the English transfer market but Motherwell won’t even rake in £5m for him.
That’s according to Premier Sports pundit Michael Stewart, who thinks the best the Steelmen will probably get is around £4m for the 18-year-old with a hefty sell-on clause.
Miller is arguably Scotland’s brightest teenage prospect at the moment and has been linked with massive clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United.
He is expected to leave Motherwell in the summer due to the huge interest in him, with the Lanarkshire club having already turned down a £2.5m Udinese bid for Miller in January.
New Motherwell boss Michael Wimmer will be at the helm during the summer when more bids inevitably come in for Miller as the club look to strike the right deal.

Michael Stewart on Lennon Miller’s Motherwell transfer value
Motherwell are reportedly seeking at least £4m for Miller, but Stewart thinks that’s the most they’ll get out of any sale.
He told the Scottish Football Social Club podcast that Miller could go for as much as £15m if he played in England, but the nature of how Scottish football is perceived means Motherwell are at a disadvantage.
Using a housing market analogy to explain his point, Stewart argued: “I think the sell-on clause is an absolute guaranteed stick on, they’ll get that. I’m not sure they’ll get £5-6m unfortunately.
“I think it will be slightly lower but with a big sell-on. I think it will be around that (£4m) figure with a big sell-on clause.
“Look, we can argue and debate about this all day long – his value is whatever anyone is willing to pay.
“But we look at it objectively, Lennon Miller – his age, profile, all that sort of thing – there’s no question in my mind that he is comparative with players down south that will go for £14-15m, seriously!
“But it’s like a housing market. You take a cracking house that is not on the most attractive street, there’s a ceiling price.
“Move it on to a different street, it’s the same house but on a different street, all of a sudden it’s (price is) through the roof.
“That’s what happens with Scottish football unfortunately. There’s a ceiling that people are not willing to go beyond at times.”
Scottish football’s most expensive transfer exits outwith Old Firm
Fellow pundit Alan Hutton disagrees and thinks Motherwell can hold out for as much as £6m for Miller – a similar fee to Calvin Ramsay’s when he left Aberdeen for Liverpool in 2022.
He said: “I’m going £5m plus. £5-6m I would say. You’re still getting a right good deal. Loads of potential, the age. He’s shown already that he can go again.
“There could be a sell-on clause within there as well that they would like.”

Craig Gordon remains the most expensive Scottish football departure outwith the Old Firm when he made a £9m switch to Sunderland from Hearts in 2007.
Bojan Miovski left Aberdeen for £6.8m last summer as he signed for Champions League side Girona, while Ramsay when for around £6.5m to Liverpool.
Miller could be up there in the summer if indeed he leaves Motherwell, but Michael Stewart isn’t so sure.
