Lennon Miller will remain a Motherwell player for now but that could well change before the transfer deadline.
The Steelmen starlet is arguably the hottest property in Scottish football right now and Miller has even been mentioned as a target for Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal and Man United, among others.
There has also been interest from abroad, including in Italy and Germany, and that has finally manifested into a concrete offer.
Serie A side Udinese have submitted two bids for Miller, the latter of which was worth £2.5million but still not strong enough to tempt Fir Park chiefs who swiftly booted it out.
While Eintracht Frankfurt have since been credited with an interest with the Bundesliga men weighing up whether to get involved in the bidding.
Motherwell want a record transfer fee for their prized asset, which currently stands at £3million for the sale of David Turnbull to Celtic, and it is thought they want at least £4m this time.
Chief executive Brian Caldwell yesterday issued another warning, insisting the offer was “miles away” from their valuation and manager Stuart Kettlewell has now spoken too.

Motherwell boss Kettlewell on Miller
Kettlewell is adamant the Premiership side hold all the aces in this scenario and insists they will stick to their guns on the value.
With Miller quite happy to stick to his job until told otherwise, the club can afford to stay relaxed.
The Well boss said: “It’s not the value of the bidding club, it’s the value of the club that own the player and have their registration, that’s the most important part of it.
“We’ve always had a plan not just for Lennon, but several other players that have been sold. We’re unified with that, as well, it’s not as if one or two of us are sitting there with a different thought process. We’re really comfortable in that situation.
“There are no issues with Lennon. The relationship between myself, Lennon, his family, his representative is a really good one, and we’re all on the same page with everything that’s going on.”
What Caldwell said on Miller
Caldwell said this week: “We’ve had a couple of offers from a club who are miles away from the valuation of what we would deem Lennon Miller.
“We are not desperate to sell the player. We’ve always said, from day one, it’s got to be right for Lennon, it’s got to be right for the football club, and we’re not going to accept any kind of offer.
“Lennon Miller is statistically, I believe, in the top seven players in the world for his age for midfield players, so he’s an exceptional talent – we all know that.
“And, if and when Lennon does move, it will be for the right price for us and it will be right for Lennon Miller at the same time.”
